Radical Islamists expanding in Bosnia
Radical Islamists known as Salafists are expanding their subversion into Bosnia’s Serb Republic and penetrating their network is increasingly hard says the President of the Committee for Defense and Security in the Parliament of the Serb Republic.
“In Gornja Maoca lives totally closed Salafists community where no authority can come in from Srebrenik,” said President Petar Djokic.
Djokic said that Serbs can not return to Gornja Maoca because the Islamists confiscated their property and ethnically cleansed the village of Serbs.
It is believed that the leader of Islamists from Gornja Maoca also runs an extremist Bosnian Muslim web site, putvjernika.com, that glorifies Jihad and tabulates number of dead Americans in its war on terror.
Djokic urged the security agencies in Bosnia to increase their attention on the activities of all Islamist groups and in particular those associated with the Salafi movement.
“In the struggle against the extremist organization we must include all security and intelligence agencies in Bosnia, because these groups are a threat to the stability,” said Djokic.
He said that the police is ill equipped to deal with extremist Bosnian Muslims and urged additional resources for the police in the Serb Republic to deal with the threat.

The Parliamentary Committee will also schedule a hearing with the police school where they will analyze extremism and in particular the Islamic one.
“The aim is to uncover the activities of the extremist groups and cut off their radical goals because those groups are a threat to the constitutional order,” said Djokic.
Djokic said that his Committee has analyzed the latest intelligence on the Salafists but that the intelligence is highly classified.
“Those are groups of people that advocate a different approach to Islam and a different kind of life. That is a method of religious expression that is, obviously, unusual for this region and publicly unacceptable,” Djokic said.
The intelligence service in the Serb Republic has recently uncovered documents from the extremist groups that show an elaborate weapons network and funding for arms.

I agree. If the world had stepped in, in time, and helped end the Bosnian war sooner there would be very little if any of the increased islamization in regions of Bosnia. I really hope that people know that these people are not in any way a reflection of the Bosniak people or the tradition of Europeanized and modernized version of islam in Bosnia which include a side of pork with your shot of rakija!

The world did step in , unfortunatly on the wrong side!. If the traditional allies of serbia had stepped in like the allies they once were, then none of this would be news at all and there would have been no war again in the balkans. which is not to say there wouldnt have been any fighting, the JNA would have crushed any of these bids to create an islamic state. Or another facist state, but amerika yes the backstabbers of the world wanted something out of the balkans, and serbia stood in its way.

Unfortunately Dony, it is not biting the Americans in the rear end. It is hurting the Serbs. Americans don’t give a damn as long as they are getting what they want and that is control over former Yugoslavia’s land.
We Muslims in Bosnia were never Serbs and we definitely never Croats… we were Yugoslavs, but you people of some high power seemed to have thought it was all about you and in the end ended-up destroying everything we built together. I’m English but it seems as though I understand Bosnia’s history better than you! It was Izetbegovic’s Muslim dominated party who wanted independence from Yugoslavia and if you remember the Serbs boycotted the vote because they wanted to remain within Yugoslavia. Surely, you cannot hope change historical facts after only twenty years?

The fact is is that you muslims are Serbs who were forced by the turks to convert to islamic religion or else they were going to attack bosnia back in 1800’s. The turks then took serbian children, yes bosnian serb children back to turkey where they taught them how to kill Serbs. The turks brainwashed you “muslim” serbs. If you want the proof, we serbs know about it since we were our own neighboors, but seriuosly, the turks took your parents generation when they were babies, taught them to kill, and then unleashed them. Some of which, turned out to kill their own parents because the turks did not want them to say anything about their plan.

Then you know what we used to hear in the Bosnian Parlament during 1990/1991 from the Serb representatives (SDS party: Karadzic, Krajisnik, Plavsic). Could you please remind us about that? We know you know that better then we.
Can you tell us something about “solving a Serb national question” a long before that moment you mentioned?

SaniBanani, if Izetbegovic wasn?t the leader of the Muslim dominated party then who was? Before he died, why was he was about to be charged as a war criminal? As you know, it was because he was the leader of his party. Obviously, I don?t know the details of every sitting in your parliament just like I don?t know about every sitting in Westminster but I know the key facts. My reply to Dude simply stated that it was Izetbegovic who declared independence whereas he blamed the Serbs for ?destroying everything we built together’.

Are you Serious? They Probably did not teach you this in a Muslim school in Bosnia, I don’t blame you just your controlled Muslim education. They must have been teaching you about Jihad, mujaheddin.

Let’s get a few things right. Firstly all this talk about Bosnian muslims previously being Serbs/Croats who converted is complete hogwash. Prior to the Ottoman Empire expanding to this region, Bosnians were in their own right an independent nation also known as Bogumils. Croatians were aligned with the Catholic Church while the Serbs were more aligned to the orthodox one. Both tried to drag the Bogumils to their side, as a way of showing defiance to both, when the Ottoman army came, the majority decided to accept Islam (they were not forced!). If you doubt any of these facts, there is a colossal amount of evidence to support this.
In addition, the breakup of Yugoslavia after Tito’s death was inevitable, however saying that Bosnia wanted to create an Islamic state is complete nonsense. This way you are also insinuating that Croats/Slovenians wanted to create a pure Catholic state. Essentially it boils down to people wanted their own governance, and not relying on a central government based in Serbia, with only Serbian interests.

Veljkovic, if you read my previous post it is clear what I said, and in that I do not deny the fact that they were Christians. However they were following a version of Christianity which had its own specific characteristics, which in hindsight are more comparable to Islam. They converted in droves once the ottomans came to avoid persecution from the Catholics/Orthodox.
With regards to Janicari they were few and far between, and they conducted their actions in “Serbia proper” not within Bosnia. However I will not deny the fact that there were any Serbs within Bosnia, same as there are now, as this region being so compact was bound to have. What seems to have happened is that the history within this part of the world has been so misconstrued that no wonder wars break out every few years.
I do not enjoy arguing semantics, what mainly annoys me is that we in the “Balkans” are so stuck in the past that we cannot seem to move forward. This is our Achilles heel and will always be. My life now does not revolve around history, but more around do I have a job, can I feed my family e.t.c. I suggest you concentrate on these things as well instead of dwelling on the past.
How can christianity be comparable to the Islam?
You converted to Islam because it was simply the best thing to do,in that time,or you were forced, not because you were bogumils, please be honest about it.

What’s up with my comments? Nothing Orthodox about them, I do defend the Orthodox churches your guys have destroyed, and still are destroying, or am I making this up? Why do you have to bring up the reliogion all the time? I stand up for my people and Kosovo is Holy Serbian land, with churches, monasteries and graves dating from the 8th century.
