Roundup: Serb, French in anti-terror training
French Ambassador to Serbia Jean Francois Terral will attend anti-terror exercise along with Serbia’s Deputy PM Ivica Dacic at Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport.
The French anti-terrorist unit RAID, together with the Serbian Gendarmerie, the Special Anti-terrorist Unit (SAJ) and the Counter-terrorist Unit (PTJ), will participate in the anti-terrorist exercise.
The exercise will also be attended by Croatian, Bosnian, Montenegrin and Bulgarian special units.

Serbian judiciary is ready to persecute the commander of the ethnic Albanian separatist army that was set up by NATO, confirms Serbian War Crime Prosecution Spokesperson Bruno Vekaric. Fatmir Limaj, selected by NATO t command the separatist army, has committed numerous atrocities among which the prosecution cites the kidnapping of 10 workers of the Belacevac mine,? kidnapping and murder of 30 Serb civilians in the region of Drenica and persecution of 11 Albanian who were opposed to the separatists’ terror in 1998. Along with Limaj, the persecution has evidence of atrocities of Sahit Jashari, Sami Lushtaku and Suleiman Sellimi.

Serbia’s media outlet Blic cites an unnamed source with the Serbian government that the US Vice President Joseph Biden will, during his visit to Serbia, sign a deal whereby Washington will stop pressing Serbia to recognize Kosovo in exchange for a new Serbian policy that will not hinder the independence plans in the province.

Ethnic Albanian separatist agitator in Serbia’s Kosovo province, Albin Kurti, has been arrested by Macedonia’s authorities at the border crossing at Blace. The spokesman for the police said that Kurti ” has been kept for an interview about certain information” and that the “questioning of Kurti was part of the regular activity of police seeking certain information. Based on the police procedures in accordance with the law, the interview enables detention of a person for 24 hours”. Kurti complained that the police has exposed him to a psychological torture because “They put me in a room, where they left me waiting for two hours. They put a policeman in front of the door and afterwards three inspectors of the secret service of Macedonia came in and closed the curtains, and from time to time they pulled out their guns and returned them into the holsters. They started to give me political lessons that Macedonia respects the human rights.”

Serbian Minister of Human and Minority Rights Svetozar Ciplic has blamed intolerance fro ethnic incidents in Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina. “The partnership between Serbia and Hungary is based on good neighborly relations, on the Serbian national minority in Hungary and the Hungarian one in Serbia. After all, the very fact that the Hungarian national parties are part of the ruling coalition in the province and republic as well, speaks volumes about the position of the Hungarian national community in Serbia,” Ciplic said in an interview.

IMF has agreed to loan Serbia additional 3 billion EUROS loan and that such loan will open doors for more borrowing, said Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Bozidar Djelic. “The decision of the IMF board is very important for monetary stability in Serbia in 2009 and 2010, while at the same time it represents a prerequisite for new loans provided by the European Union and commercial banks,” said Djelic. Meanwhile, National Bank of Serbia Governor Radovan Jelasic said that Serbia’s foreign exchange market had stabilized and that he does not expect foreign banks to withdraw from Serbia.

President of the Islamic Community in Hungary (Magyar Iszl?m K?z?ss?g), Zoltan Bolek, eulogized Eduardo Rozsa Flores – Chico who was killed in Bolivia during an assassination attempt of the President Morales. “he did nor just dies, he accepted death like a shehid [martyr]. Eduardo Rozsa Flores – Chico took part in killing Serbs by volunteering for the Croatian army which killed and expelled over quarter of the million Serbs in 1995.

one thing I have learned being a Serb is that I can’t permitt myself thinking that somebody will help me, I have to do it alone.
We should concentrate on ourselves, get stronger and then just do it!
If then we have friends, good, if not we won’t be disapointed.
Maybe then we get some respect and real friends to back us up.
France never used to be the ally of Serbia. They only pretend. In WW1 the pathetic French send a train of soldiers to fight along the side of the Serbs … the only problem was that just before the soldiers were to come off the train they received an order to go back. This left the Serbs at the mercy of their enemy with ZERO allies that promised to be allies.
I am telling ALL: the Serbs only need to unite and not EVER believe any verbal promises. Words are CHEAP – actions count.
