Christopher Deliso is an American journalist and travel writer who directs
the Balkan-interest news and analysis website, Balkanalysis.com,
from Skopje, Macedonia. He writes for the Economist Intelligence Unit on
Macedonia, and has published widely on the Balkans in US and European newspapers,
magazines and websites. Chris is the author of two books on the Balkans,
The
Coming Balkan Caliphate: The Threat of Radical Islam to Europe
and the West (Praeger Security International, 2007) and Hidden
Macedonia: The Mystic Lakes of Ohrid and Prespa (Haus Publishing,
2007), and co-author of the 2008 Lonely Planet travel guides to Greece,
Bulgaria
and the Greek
Islands. He holds an MPhil with distinction in Byzantine Studies (Oxford
University).
