Romanian court orders proof of Ceausescu burial June 30, 2008 2:41 PM BUCHAREST, Romania-Romania's top court says the Defense Ministry must prove that ex-dictator Nicolae Ceausecsu and his wife are buried in a Bucharest Cemetery. The couple are believed to have been buried in the Ghencea cemetery after being shot dead during the 1989 anti-communist revolt. The ministry manages the cemetery but says it has no record of where Nicolae and Elena Ceausecsu are buried. The couple's daughter Zoia sued the ministry in 2005 saying she had doubts her parents were buried in the cemetery. She died of cancer in 2006 and the case was continued by brother Valentin. Ceausescu lawyer Haralambie Voicilas says his client can ask for the bodies to be exhumed based on Monday's appeals court ruling.
