Hungary
to still allow communist cars
July 15, 2008 6:03 PM
Hungarian government decided to let communist-era cars be driven through
2020.
Cars models such as Trabant, Wartburg and Barkas buses, will be banned
from Hungarian roads after the deadline.
The decision came after owners of the aging cars, some 40,000 Trabant
models, are still on the road in Hungary and do not impact the environment
any stronger than other cars being driven in the country.
